Charlie Sheen Booed Off the Stage
Charlie Sheen kicked off his live stage show, “Violent Torpedo of Truth” on Saturday in Detroit, and he was not met with much applause. In fact, there was very little applause and he was eventually booed off the stage, and he cut his show short.
He insulted the audience, couldn’t speak properly, slurred his speech, and then trotted off the stage without giving a final word to his audience. Oh, Sheen did tell a guy who shouted, “You suck!” that he already had his f***ing money, so he didn’t care. The crowd started shouting “Refund!” and Sheen couldn’t handle anymore, so he abandoned his paying customers.
It seems that Sheen isn’t actually upset by any of this, as he cites that it was the wrong audience, and it was their fault that he performed so poorly. Or, at least, was poorly received. As of yet, there are still plans to push forward with his astounding 20-date tour. Think he’ll show more old movie clips including his father, Martin Sheen? Oh, yeah, seems he did that, too, in his Detroit show. There was no explanation, either. He kind of just did it.
It’s really clear that Charlie did nothing to prepare for this show and thought he could just perform off the cuff. The problem is that he’s an actor and relies on scripts to get him through a show, which he doesn’t have in this case. The other problem I see: what was the audience expecting? This is a guy who has clearly lost his sanity; they really expected him to put together a good performance? Yikes.
