Glee Returns in April
Are you ready for the return of Glee? I’m not sure if I am or not, to be honest. Don’t get me wrong, I watch the show; but if I’m being completely truthful…it’s been nice to have a break. The show is so frustrating! I think it has all the potential in the world, especially in singer Lea Michele, but the plot lines are just so thin sometimes. Everything with Mr. Schuester’s wife was absolutely ridiculous. Also, there are too many gay jokes (although to be fair, I have the same problem with SNL these days).
I also think some of their song choices are iffy. The best one, by far, was “Somebody to Love,” and they did that song incredibly well; however, others, such as both versions of “Smile” didn’t cut it for me. Also, it was a little cliché to have had Amber Riley sing “And I Am Telling You,” wasn’t it? Maybe I’m just biased because I don’t like any version of that song. Ever. (I didn’t think Jennifer Hudson deserved the Oscar; so sue me.)
I wish the rumors about Adam Lambert guest starring were true! That would have been fun. But I guess I’ll just have to settle with a bunch of other major singers, such as broadway star Idina Menzel, Madonna, and the rumored appearances of Neil Patrick Harris and Jennifer Lopez. Woohoo!
So, the show returns (for another nine episodes) on April 13. Well actually, it doesn’t just return on April 13, but it will do so with a major statement: Madonna. The Queen of Pop herself will be making an appearance on the show in a Madonna-themed episode. That should be good!
