Interactive Music Videos?
Like a Choose Your Own Adventure book? I’m in!
Andy Grammer, a new pop artist on the scene, has teamed up with Vevo, S-Curve Records (his label), and Interlude technology to come up with a user-interactive music video, with which an internet-goer can play and choose which scene will come next. In the video, “Keep Your Head Up,” there are several options that can be played multiple times to get different results.
Though fans will most likely already be drawn to this video because of its interesting nature, Vevo also made a smart move to get Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute in “The Office”) to make a cameo appearance in the music video. Well done, marketing team!
This music video comes very soon after Arcade Fire tried their luck with HTML5 technology in one of their music videos, allowing users to see images and videos of their hometowns (or whatever town they enter in the prompt) during the music video.
What do you think of the Choose Your Own Adventure music video??
