Mad Men Returns in July!!
I know this isn’t music related, or gossip, really, but boy am I excited! I think it’s one of the best shows on television, and we’re lucky that AMC believed in it. There aren’t too many good period-piece shows either, you know? And they’re never about the 60s either. Think about it; there are the shows that HBO creates, but they’re HBO! They can get away with making a lot out of a little. AMC picked up the gem that is Mad Men, and now everyone knows about the station. Genius, right? I think Mad Men is the reason why Breaking Bad is doing so well, too, but hey, that’s just me.
So there’s a date for this great show’s 4th season! July 25! Mark your calenders! I think I have a crush on four out of the five main characters, too. Don, Roger, Betty, and Joan. Ohhhh, Joan. Hey! Speaking of her, did you see that Esquire named Christina Hendricks the sexiest woman alive? I agree with them whole-heartedly. She is so gorgeous. Anyway, my point is that all of these characters are so exciting, smart, witty, sad, interesting, mysterious, etc. etc. etc. Let me just get out my thesaurus while I think about these characters.
With all of the network shows coming to a close for the season, won’t it be nice to have something to look forward to on Sunday nights in the summer? You’ll need it, too, after the craziness that will be the 3rd season of True Blood, and the anticipation of the 5th season of Dexter (SEPTEMBER!), right? I know I will! Talk about great television…Look for a Dexter blog in September. I can talk to you all day about how amazing a show that is. But for now, I’ll just wait for Mad Men!!
