Madame Tussaud’s Misses the Mark
While it’s true that Madame Tussaud’s has been hit or miss lately with their wax figures, I think we can all agree that they’re *usually* good, and that they’re always at least recognizable. I think they may have rushed a bit for their latest project: Justin Bieber.
Forget that he cut his hair. Everyone recognizes him for his signature, longer shaggy hairstyle so he can shake it back and forth (much like Willow Smith). So, it’s not surprising that they used his longer haircut, nor would it make the figure now unrecognizable.
It seems to me that the only thing they did get right was his nose and his hair color. The height and weight are all wrong (have you seen how skinny he is?!), the eyes are too small, the eyebrows are too small, the mouth is just weird, there is no expression (which I guess is only a little bit inaccurate), and even the clothes are wrong. Looks more like a cross between Zac Efron and Nick Jonas, don’t you think?
I’m not offended by any means; I’m more confused at how this would be “okay”ed by someone over at Mme Tussaud’s. Oh well, it looks like Bieber is happy with it, so who am I to say anything??
