Apple Reveals iPad 2
Apple announced yesterday (March 2) that it has been working on a second generation of iPad, which is simply called the “iPad 2.”
The major differences are that the iPad 2 has a dual camera, and that it has a gyroscope, has support for GSM/CDMA 3G wireless, HDMI video out with external cable, and magnetic screen covers. Other than that, the physical differences are practically nil. The actual screen size is the same (9.7″); the weight is slightly lower (1.5lbs vs. 1.3lbs). Oh yeah; it also comes in white.
Pre-orders for the iPad 2 begin on March 11. The iPad has gone down to a low of $399, while the iPad 2 will sell for as high as $829 (for the highest amount of memory plus 3G coverage).
