FarmVille Comes to iPad
Zynga, the company that brought us the social game FarmVille, has now created a FarmVille application specific to Apple’s iPad.
This will come as great news to a lot of people. Why, you ask? Approximately 60 million people play FarmVille (holy cow!), and many of those users probably operate iPads. Oh, yeah, the application will be free, too.
Not only will the graphics be better (since they’ll be specific to the tablet’s dimensions), but the interaction from the user will be good, as well. The gamer will be able to swipe his or her finger across the screen, double tap to zoom, etc. The application will also include an option to send the user a notification about the status of his or her crops, livestock, and farm in general. I would imagine this would be one of the most important features for a user.
Look for Zynga’s first iPad-specific application, FarmVille! I’m interested to see how it does. Depending on its success, Zynga will probably expand its array of iPad-specific applications to fit the needs of its 225 million active Zynga-product users.
