First Apple Computer Up For Grabs
Well, kind of…”up for grabs” may be putting it lightly.
At Christie’s, an auction house in London, a seller is putting for auction one of the first Apple personal computers from 1976. The current value of these computers is crazy!
Considering the computer would have been sold in 1976 got about $667 (whose equivalent is about $2500 today), the profit margin is predicted to be incredible. Christie’s estimates that the computer could sell for anywhere from $161,000 to $243,000. Wowsa.
This device goes on sale on November 23rd. If it keeps getting the press that it’s getting now, though, I would imagine that the final sales price could reach even higher than that $243,000 figure. Oh yeah, the computer up for auction includes the motherboard, instruction manual, official documentation, and a letter from Steve Jobs himself.
Good luck to the bidders!
