Google Nexus Has Arrived!
The wait is finally over: the Google Nexus One phone has been released and is available online!
Produced by HTC, the Google Nexus One seems to be lighter, faster, sleeker, and simpler than the iPhone. You may wonder, “Can anything actually be simpler than the iPhone?” Apparently, the answer is “Yes.” Plus, it comes equipped with Google software…so…that’s a bonus.
The price seems to be pretty standard if you sign up for a plan (with, at this point, T-Mobile) at $179. However, if you want to stay with your own carrier you can just buy the phone on its own, unlocked; but, the price tag increases to $525 if you do.
Either way, I’m pretty excited to see how this phone turns out. I don’t have an iPhone, but I envy those that do. Now, will I envy people with Nexus One phones even more!? I want to see this phone in action! Is it really that much easier? I just think it’s hard to beat the fact that iTunes/iPod function is readily available on the iPhone, and that the apps store is absolutely gigantic…almost overwhelming.
But, I think if the Google phone can compete with those aspects—especially—it will be in good shape to rival all smartphones, and not just the iPhone.
Are YOU excited?!
