Look Out, Safari!
Looks like the Opera web browser is giving Safari a run for its money! So to speak…
Apple agreed to allow an Opera application to be developed, and developed it has been. So far, the Opera Mini application has been downloaded to over a million iPhones/iPods/iPads. It is the number one application in the Apple app stores! I know that Safari comes with the phones so it’s more easily accessible, but that just makes Opera’s progression even more impressive, right?
Apparently, the benefits of having the Opera web browser are astronomical. It gathers up for six times the speed of other browsers (Firefox, Safari), and offers a less-congested browser, so you don’t have to deal with so much web traffic. If you think about it, it makes sense: you imagine all the millions of people in the United States alone using iPhones/iPods/iPads and assume that they are all using Safari, right? So then the one million people using Opera don’t seem that big a deal anymore.
I’ve used Opera before; I like it. It’s what I imagined Google Chrome should have been like.
