MasterCard Introduces MoneySend
This is an interesting development: sources are saying that MasterCard is launching a program for the iPhone and iPad called MoneySend, which will allow users to manage their various financial transactions. From their iPhones and iPads, they will be able to send, pay, or request funds.
Joshua Peirez, the Chief Innovation Officer of MasterCard, stated that “”With MoneySend, users avoid the hassle of making payments with cash, check or money orders and collecting funds is as simple as a text message with the ‘Request Funds’ feature of the app.”
Though it sounds as if these applications have been created already, MasterCard has done their best to make this application as user-friendly and simple as possible. And, since so many people have MasterCard, it will be simpler to use their official app instead of either paying for others or searching around for another trusted brand’s version of this program.
To use MoneySend, users can set up a prepaid account from which they will withdraw funds or make their various transactions. Or, if they are requesting funds, the account is the one into which payments will be deposited. The account will be directly linked to the user’s already-existing MasterCard checking or savings account, so things will be even simpler.
What’s really nice, though, is that users will be able to keep their privacy: no private, personal, or financial information is stored within the MoneySend application. It is all done directly through MasterCard, so it is secure and safe to use.
Keep your eye out for MoneySend, because I’m guessing it could be a real time-saver!
