Mobile Internet Is Becoming Increasingly Popular
Accessing SendMe Mobile from your phone? There’s a good chance that 1 out of 5 of you is! According to a study by the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, 19% of Americans are now using mobile devices to access the internet on a daily basis. The numbers are up from 11% in December of 2007, which is an overall 73% increase.

We are finding mobile internet to be much more convenient these days than it has ever been in the past. I know several people who have barely used their laptops during summer break from school because the internet on their iPods and other mp3 players works just as well, and can fit right in their pockets. I find myself using the internet on my BlackBerry constantly, whether it is to look up a movie or TV quotation, to check Facebook, or just to browse the web.
The study also showed that, overall, 56% of American people use wireless internet (whether it is by laptop, mobile phone, mp3 player, etc.). With technology becoming more and more versatile, it is also becoming more easily obtainable. Laptops are convenient and are not that much more expensive than desktop computers anymore. Mobile phones with internet capability, too, are less expensive and user-friendly. They also aren’t just for business people who need to have constant access to their email anymore.
Before long, I’m guessing there will be a lot more than 19% using mobile web. Are you using a cell phone to read this right now?? Well when you inevitably go to Facebook after this, be sure to check us out and to become a fan!
