Good Charlotte + 90s Kids’ Game Show =

Awesome? I think so!

No one can deny that the mid-90s had the best kids’ television shows. They were the days of Power Rangers, Rocko’s Modern Life, Doug, and, of course, timeless kids’ game shows like Legends of the Hidden Temple (gooo Silver Snakes!) and Double Dare. Though, to be perfectly fair, Double Dare did begin in the late 1980s, but who’s counting? Good Charlotte is.

The band Good Charlotte seems to remember the good old days, too, because their new music video for “Last Night” features the Nickelodeon game show (and you may recognize the original host of the show, Marc Summers, who now hosts “Unwrapped” on the Food Network). Actually, the video claims to feature the family version of the show, Family Double Dare (original title, right?).

This video makes me laugh, and I think it’s smart to appeal to their audience’s nostalgic side, considering the band itself was formed in 1996.
