Jason Mraz “I’m Yours” Update

Back in July, we told you that Jason Mraz was on his way to making Billboard history. His single, “I’m Yours,” was to become the longest-running single to stay on the Billboard Hot 100 for consecutive weeks. The previous record holder is LeAnn Rimes with “How Do I Live,” which spent 69 weeks in the top 100.

Well, as of this week, “I’m Yours” will have been in the Billboard Hot 100 for 76 consecutive weeks, and it still remains strong. The single is currently at #48 and doesn’t look as if it’s going to be dropping off the chart anytime soon. (In fact, just last week it was at #49, so it’s still jumping around.)

The song is the first single off the album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things, which was released in early 2008. Since then “I’m Yours” and the full album itself has been a major success for Mraz, selling several million copies worldwide. He collaborated with other indie-folk artists like James Morrison (one of my personal favorites) and Colbie Caillat.

The song is still played on the radio constantly so if you haven’t heard it by now…well…I don’t know what to tell you.
