Man Arrested For Threatening His iPhone
This is a real story.
The poor iPhone was merely taking a break from its normal activities (aka functioning) when a crazy man threatened to shoot it.
Actually, that’s not that far off from the truth. The idea is that some guy in Cincinnati brought his iPhone into an Apple store so someone could help him fix it. He was talking to an employee and allegedly said that he was “so mad, I could pop a 9mm at it.”
The genius proceeded to tell the employee (or so they say) that he really had a weapon hidden in his shirt. No big deal, right? That’s what he thought, because he had a concealed weapons permit. Little did he know, though, that he was supposed to tell the police (who inevitably showed up after the scared employee was told he was going to shoot the poor, innocent iPhone) that he both had a permit to carry a concealed weapon, and that the weapon was actually on him at the time.
Since he didn’t disclose this information, he was taken into custody and charged with “aggravated menacing and causing fear or harm” to the Apple employee.
Luckily, the iPhone survived with just a few scratches. (Actually, I’m not sure that’s true. I don’t really know.)
