“We Are the World” In Spanish

I know I’ve written about both previous versions of “We Are the World” before, but I’ve got to mention it one more time.

Well, actually, let’s be honest; as long as they keep making them, I’ll keep writing about them!

Now there’s a new version in Spanish in order to benefit the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti (since January).  The new version includes Spanish music superstars such as Shakira, Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Paulina Rubio, Juanes, Jose Feliciano, Andy Garcia, Thalia, and David Archuleta.  The song is scheduled to premiere on Monday, on the Univision show, “The Cristina Show.”

If I’m not mistaken, this version of the song was produced and set in motion by the folks behind American Idol (perhaps that’s why David Archuleta and Phil Sligh [who?!] were involved) as a part of Idol Gives Back.

Watch for the song on Univision, check out the video, and get the song on iTunes soon!
