What Do You Think of Britney’s New Single?
Yesterday, blogs and radio shows everywhere debuted Britney Spears’s new single, “Hold It Against Me.” What do you think?
From what I’ve heard, people are buzzing about how great it is. She’s back, she’s taking pop music back, she’s debuting happier songs (from her last two albums, at least), she’s proving she’s got her act together again. Do you agree?
In my opinion, this song is fine. One thing that bothers me is the lyric “please forgive me if I’m coming on too strong.” Sorry, isn’t that a line from Enrique Iglesias’s “I Like It“? Actually, isn’t it a lyric from a ton of different pop songs? It just seems done. That aside, though, I do like the punniness of the song. Just listen; you’ll understand.
Think it’ll be a #1 hit? I guess we’ll find out!
