New Heinz Ketchup Packets!

Okay, I know this might sound a little ridiculous, and not really news-worthy…but Heinz has just revolutionized individual ketchup packets! I seriously cannot wait to see one of these things.

These new packets can be used in two different ways. If you want to squeeze the ketchup onto something—like a burger, perhaps—then you can just rip off the top (where it looks like the top of an actual ketchup bottle). If you want to dip something, though, the packet is actually designed to be a little tub. So, all you have to do is peel back the plastic at the bottom of the “bottle” and dip away!

The dip packets are currently being tested in U.S. markets. If they are successful, I would imagine that Heinz will start to mass-produce these babies! I can’t see why they wouldn’t be successful: each of the new packets holds three times as much ketchup as the old packets. Plus, the old ones have been around for what seems like decades and decades. It’s time for a change for this poor condiment!

Too far? Oh well. I wonder if I’ll get to see one of these things during the testing period. My guess is probably not…I always forget to pick up ketchup packets and then mumble expletives when I get home.
